Daniel's Life So far

Daniel Osoi grew up in the Kenyan Bush as a Maasai Warrior. His life consisted of subsistence living, raising cattle and very little else. As many Maasai have done, Daniel left for the big city to live a Western-type of life.

After settling in Nairobi, Daniel got involved with an organized crime syndicate. He was in charge of managing a bar where gambling also took place. In his late teens, he was actually making a name for himself. As a Maasai Warrior, he was considered very tough, a gangster type and his bosses immediately started grooming him for leadership.

Daniel's journey with Christ began with an encounter with Christians that opened up his spirit. He watched a Christian pastor raise someone from the dead!! He began doing some research into this newfound encounter and that did not sit well with the leadership in the other side of his life. As the nagging of the Holy Spirit persisted, culminating on one night, when the bar Daniel was in charge of was robbed of approximately $3,000 USD. It was Daniel's responsibility as the manager to replace it. Knowing he did not have anywhere close to that kind of money on hand, that his boss would consider him weak and most likely would kill him, Daniel reached out in prayer to this Christian God, Jesus for help. Miraculously, the money appeared to be not missing and nothing happened the next day. At this point, Daniel fled back to the Bush. It was there and then, with a move to another city, where Daniel's newfound faith led him. During this time of growing in the power of the Holy Spirit, Daniel was given a vision to bring the power of Jesus to the lost Maasai thru out the region of Kenya and Tanzania.

He became part of a Christian Youth Group in Kenya and eventually went on a mission trip to the USA. It was during this trip in 1994 he encountered Dominic Costanzo, Bill Van Fleet, and Ken Yockey at a church picnic. Shortly before this meeting, Dominic had been given a nagging to go to Africa and win souls for Christ.

From this meeting at the Church picnic event that Resourcing Ministry Partners began its mission to the Maasai. The concept was to let Daniel move in the spirit and let him alone guide the path of salvation for this indigenous group of a million+ tribal warriors and their families. It was the job of the American side to raise funds and give guidance as needed.

Daniel's success, with the help of the many pastors he has recruited or who have been called, has been miraculous. They have reached almost every Maasai living in Kenya , in addition to other tribal people groups in Kenya and bordering countries. The movement is now headquartered in Bissell, Kenya, where over 200 pastors meet each month. The movement of churches, known as Faith Evangelical Free Church-Kenya, consists of over 200 churches to date.

Now 54 years old, Daniel and his wife of 25 years, Jemimah, have 4 children (3 are now adults). He also has many foster children, rescued from the dirt streets of Kenya, and he has raised them as his own. He is very well-respected by the Kenyan government for his work in education thru out the Maasai regions. He continues his mission of reaching the lost Maasai. He hopes to soon move on, into Tanzania, always letting the Lord be his guide.
