Ken Yockey

Although Ken Yockey grew up with a church background, it was not until his early adult life that Jesus touched him and gave him a life-changing attitude, which has stuck with him over the last 50 years. He began listening to J. Vernon Magee on his truck radio daily, and this coupled with his ongoing Bible study, has led him to multiple leadership roles within the church. His research has turned him into a delightful conversationalist in Christian Apologetics and Christian Doctrine.

He has spent a lifetime in the mission field with youth ministries and has made multiple trips to Kenya. It was his first mission trip to Kenya that cemented his role in Africa. He went as a representative for Faith Evangelical Free Church in Milford Ohio and to see for himself what this Ministry he had helped found was up to. At the airport, he had a Life-Changing Encounter with the Holy Spirit. This encounter embedded in his heart a love for this group of people that has become central to his life. He has been a major force in propelling Daniel and Faith Church Kenya forward and helping them grow this ministry into a movement that now has over 200 planted churches throughout Kenya and now reaching into neighboring Countries.

During these years he began an outreach to a group of children that were orphans, children with no education and facing other issues, children in need in Kenya. This outreach became known as Wadada and Ken now runs this as a full time Ministry. The Ministry has built a building that can house 60 children and several hundred children have been helped by this ongoing ministry.
